The IEEE Life Member group has scheduled a tour visit on October 10, 2013, featuring nuclear energy generated by PSEG Power. Although participation is not restricted to IEEE members, the technical nature of the tour will be of interest primarily to electrical engineers and technical personnel. The tour group size must be limited to a maximum of 30, so register early if interested.

Registration Information:
You will need to register with the IEEE Philadelphia Section office at 484.270.5136. You will be required to provide the following information: Name, home phone number, e-mail address and affiliation (e.g., IEEE).

Dress Code: No open-toed shoes will be allowed to visit the nuclear plant.

Agenda

The tour will begin at PSEG's Energy & Environmental Resource Center (EERC), in Salem NJ promptly at 10:00 A.M., with suggested arrival time for participants beginning from 9:30 A.M.

The tour will proceed to visit the site of the nearby nuclear power plant on Artificial Island in Delaware Bay where the Control Room Simulator that is utilized to train operators for PSEG's nuclear power plants will be demonstrated.

PSEG Power will provide bus transportation for our group from the EERC to the nuclear power plant, including a tour around the site, and a return trip to the EERC parking lot that is expected to be completed by around 2 P.M. During the four-hour tour, a light (sandwich) lunch will be provided by PSEG Power for members of our group. Photographs are permitted, so if interested bring a camera.
