An Expert talk on Cyber Security and Awareness was arranged at Marwadi University campus on 7th March 2019, Mr Manan Thakker delivered his talk on the occasion regarding the need of awareness about cybersecurity and cybercrimes and the preventive mechanism to be adopted by people at large to Protect them from becoming victim to it. It was successfully organized by Foram Rajdev.The talk witnessed the gathering of about 500 students and staff members and the talk was well appreciated by the audience. The students were overwhelmed by the experience and expression of Mr Thakker and benefited immensely from the expert talk. The talk included topics as Cyber Bullying attacks, Cyber Stalking attacks, Identity theft attacks, Sexting and related issues, Data/code theft from women entrepreneur's office, Compensation remedies for online frauds under I.T.Act,2000, Criminal Provisions under I.T.Act,2000, Case studies, Select case laws, Preventive steps. This program was surely a success in terms of generating awareness about cybersecurity and met its objectives.
