Matt Hansen, Intel project lead, will provide a high-level overview of ROS2 using the Intel Open Source Robot Kit as an example. The Intel ROS2 Robot Development Kit  integrates Perception, Mapping, Planning, Manipulation, and ROS Tools. This includes Realsense 3D vision, Object Analysis, Navigation, and the Movidius Neural Compute Stick.

He will focus on his teams Navigation2 implementation.

Matt Hansen Matt Hansen

Biography:

Matt Hansen is a Sr. Robotics Software Architect at Intel Corporation. Matt has been at Intel for over 20 years and has done both hardware design and software development across multiple products and business groups. Matt has been developing in ROS since 2015 as part of the Open Source Technology Center at Intel. For the last year he has been leading the ROS2 Navigation2 project and is Intel’s designated representative to the ROS2 Technical Steering Committee.
