Building a new Mission Critical Wireless LTE Network will be presented by Tom Bedics.
The event will be held on August 5, 2019, at the Energy Center: 3535 Colonade Parkway Birmingham, AL 35243, Main Floor Auditorium
All attendees are encouraged to register for the meeting on vTools so we can provide a list to the Colonnade security for their use in pre-producing badges for entry to the South building.

Tom Bedics of Southern Linc
Building a new Mission Critical Wireless LTE Network
Biography:
Tom Bedics manages the Engineering Operations department with Southern Linc Wireless, a fully owned subsidiary of Southern Company. These teams are responsible for the operations of Southern Linc’s new mission critical LTE network which covers the states of Georgia and Alabama as well as Southwest Mississippi, and Northwest Florida.
Tom has almost 30 years of wireless telecommunications with Southern Company. He started his career in 1989 as a Co-Op in the Gulf Power Telecommunications Department in Pensacola, Florida. He has held various progressive leadership positions in Engineering Construction, Sales Engineering, IT Project Management, Technology Development, Product Development, and Engineering and Operations. Tom received his Bachelor of Electrical Engineering from Auburn University and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Tom was recently the Chairman of the International iDEN Operators Forum for 3 years, which is comprised of Engineering and Marketing executives from PTT centric wireless carriers from all over the world. Tom volunteers as the vice president of the Homewood School Foundation.
A native of Pensacola, Florida, Tom resides in Homewood, AL with his wife Colleen, and three sons, Carson, Cole, and Ty. In his spare time, he enjoys youth sports, running, camping, and hiking.
