Expert Lectures on Autoencoders Using Deep Learning

Dr. Murala Subramanyan, Assistant Professor, IIT Ropar, Rupnagar, Punjab, had started with the very basics of deep learning. He discussed convolution and convolution layers, pooling layers, activation functions, and other such basic concepts. He also discussed how different kinds of layers in a deep learning architecture contribute to the learning process. Dr. Murala then elaborated on unsupervised learning networks like autoencoders and Generative adversarial networks. He then took a practical lab sessions with the participants to explain practically all those concepts that he had discussed in theory. In the practical session, he demonstrated the working of an autoencoder and other deep learning modules.
