Executive Committee of IEEE Vizag Bay Sub Section

The following are present:

 granted leave of absence)

 

  • K.V. Sriram, Chair welcomed all the members
  • Usha Bala, briefed the event planned in this month, tentatively after April 15th, 2019. It would be a women professional members event.  (Action: Dr Usha Bala)
  • Chisti briefed about the professional events as discussed with Dr. Sateesh and Dr. TSN Murthy. Event were planned in the month of June and July. Committee suggested to prepare detailed schedule plan including budget and dates and forward to the chair in a week. (Action: Sri Chisti, Dr Satheesh and Dr TSN Murthy)
  • Chisti briefed the activities of Student activities. Most of the student branch details are collected.  Planning to organize two Member development programs at student branches in the next three months. Committee requested to give detail schedule and dates visiting various student braches. (Sri Krishna Nag)
  • Progress of social activities: Dr. SLN briefed the committee that the subcommittee will organize events related to social activities in Sept/October (Dr Abraham/Dr SLN)
  • Sriram Chairstressed the need of increasing the volunteer base of sub-section. He requested the committee members to identify new volunteers and conduct professional events relating to networking members at their local areas. (Action Dr; Krishna Nag)
  • Sri Sriram also mentioned that every month one EC meeting need to be organized (last Saturday of each month) (Action: Sri Chisti)
  • Dr SLN briefed the committee about the status of Elevation petition.
  • Dr SLN also briefed the committee that few sub-committees for ICISGT were formed. Venue (Sri Sriram and Chisti), Dias Organization (Sai Ram), Programme process (Dr. Deepika Rani, Dr Usha Bala), Food (Sri Chisti and his team), Transport (Sri Krishna Nag), Conference kit (Dr Abraham, Dr SLN and Dr P. Satheesh), Proceedings volume (Sri Chisti and Dr Chakravarthy) and local sight seeing arrangements (Dr. P. Satheesh). (Action: All respective members)

Meeting ended with vote of thanks to the chair.

  7. Plan of activities for the next 2 months along with budget (Any ideas on this along with budget may be sent to chisti@ieee.orgbefore 14:00 hrs of 3rd April)

  8. Progress of Elevation of Section and ICISGT (Dr. Abraham/ Dr. SLN)
