Prof. Sivaji Chakravorti

Department of Electrical Engineering, MNNIT Allahabad has organized an expert lecture on “Ethics in Technical Paper Writing” by Prof. Sivaji Chakravorti, Director, NIT Calicut & Professor, Electrical Engineering Department, Jadavpur University, in the Institute seminar Hall on 30^thJuly 2019.This lecture was attended by the M.Tech and Ph. D. scholars of the Electrical Engineering Department as well as other departments of the Institute.

 Prof. Chakravorti raised his concern regarding the degradation of quality of research work as well as the ethics involved in the research work. In his lecture, he has disused different ways to improve the quality of the research work. As per his experience he has mentioned that apart from the technicality of any of the research, the comprehensive paper writing is also an important criterion for the selection of paper.

 The problem and the methodology should be well represented for easy understanding of the reviewer. The crisp demarcation of the development achieved by the present work must be presented in comparison with previous works. The authors are also responsible for the copied material from the available online as well as offline sources. This lecture ended with an interactive session with the students where various technical questions were addressed by Prof. Chakravorti.  The lecture was very helpful for overcoming the hurdles faced by the research scholars.
