IEEE Vizag Bay Sub Section

The following are present:

  • K.V. Sriram, Chair welcomed all the members

 

  • Student Activities:

 

  • Sri A. Krishna Nag presented the activities organized in the last month. A New SB at SISTAM, Vijayanagaram was inaugurated by Sri K.V. Sriram Chair IEEE Vizag Bay. Sri Chisti and Sri TSN Murthy participated in this event.   Sri K.V. Sriram briefed the Vizag Bay Activities and benefits of IEEE membership.
  • It is proposed to organize a meeting with all SB Counselors of this Sub-Section at the earliest. The Committee proposed to host this event on 31st August 2019 at IETE Bhavan.  Process of operating a SB along with L31 filing procedure will be explained in detail. Expenditure proposed and approved is Rs. 3,000.  (Action Sri A. Krishna Nag).
  • Sub-Section Student Congress: The committee advised Sri Krishna Nag to discuss with other senior members at Hyderabad and plan for a Sub-Section Student Congress in November 2019 at Visakhapatnam. Budgetary estimation may be prepared (Action: Sri A. Krishna Nag).
  • AISYWC: Sri Sriram mentioned that Sri Md. K.M. Chisti and Dr VVSS Chakravarthy are nominated to participate in this event to be held at Hyderabad in September 2019.
  • SSC-2019: Sri Sriram mentioned that Sri A. Krishna Nag is nominated to participate in SSC-2019 at Hyderabad.

 

  • Professional Activities:The committee congratulatedfor successfully organizing Second Professional meet at Raghu institute of technology with the aim of increasing the volunteer base of IEEE Vizag Bay Sub Section.

 

  • Updating the IEEE Volunteer WhatsUp group with all the volunteers (Action: Md. K.M.Chisti)
  • A google form for requesting Volunteer support (Action: Md.K.M.Chisti)
  • Organizing Entrepreneurship talk in the Vizag bay subsection region (Dr. SLN)
  • Third Professional Meet is proposed at the earliest. (Action: Dr. P. Satheesh)

 

  • Societal Activities:

 

  • A Societal event is proposed and discussed. Dr Abraham/ Dr SLN requested to plan.

 

  • Future Activities:

 

  • An Event is proposed by Dr TSN Murthy. The committee requested to submit with financial proposal at the earliest.

 

To strengthen the Volunteer base, Sri K.V. Sriram suggested to have some nodal persons across the geographical area, so that more will participate in IEEE activities.  In process, few active volunteers are identified

  • Kakinada – Dr. Rama Krishna Rao
  • SrikakulamDistrict – Ms. Kanchanamala, GMRIT
  • Krishna District –Dr. Vamsi, SwarnandhraCollege of Engineering
  • West Godavari – Dr. T. Sudhir, Vishnu college of Engineering for Women

       Sri Md.K.M.Chisti is advised to keep in contact with these volunteers and plan future activities in those areas.

  • ICISGT:

 

  • SLN submitted the income and expenditure statement to the committee and the committee approved the statement.

 

  • Other Matters:

 

Dr. SLN briefed the status of Elevation to Full Section.

Dr. SLN briefed the status of hiring of IETE Bhavan, Andhra University for our office.

 

Meeting ended with vote of thanks to the chair.
