Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) of SIES GST organized a Digital Marketing Workshop on Saturday, 10^th August 2019 between 11:00 am to 4:00 pm at SIES Graduate School of Technology, Nerul.

The speaker for the session was Ms. Priya Singh, Digital Marketing trainer. She is also a Web Developer, Human trainer, SEO & SMO Expert, Entrepreneur. She secured her B.E. degree in Printing & Packaging Technology from SIES GST.

Ms. Priya Singh gave us an overview on Digital Marketing by giving us some examples of leading internet entrepreneurs (Jeff Bezos, Mark Zuckerberg, etc.) & youngest internet earners (mostly you tubers & tik tokers). She explained us ‘What is Digital marketing??’ & ‘What does it consist of??’ She then talked about the evolution & growth of Digital Marketing over years. She used some graphs & data for explaining the same. As digital marketing is an in-demand profession these days, she emphasized on the career opportunities in the same. The opportunities in this field are more because, not many people have the required set of skills.

As Ms. Priya Singh is a Web Developer, she elaborated the idea of digital marketing using web development. She talked about being creative in order to attract more audience to your website & about the common dos and don’ts. She also explained us ‘Search Engine Optimization” (SEO). She concluded the workshop by saying “Content is King but Engagement is Queen & she rules the house”.

Around 35 participants attended the session. The concluding remarks were given by Ms. Athulya Anand, MDO of IEEE SIES GST. She appreciated the efforts of the speaker. Participants were rewarded with certificates. The workshop was received with admiration by the students. The workshop ended with honorarium to the guest and vote of thanks.
