Minutes of the members-meeting held on 03-08-2019

Members Present:

Discussed the general activities of GRSS Chapter of IEEE Bangalore Section during 2019, including:
- IEEE GRSS DL on “Machine Learning for Remote Sensing Data Analysis” by Prof. Gustau Camps-Valls, Dept. Electrical Engineering, Universitat de València (Spain) on 29^th June at R. V. College, Bangalore
- Meeting with the Global GRSS Director Prof. Paul Rosen (JPL Laboratory) on 13^th July 2019 at IEEE India Office, World Trade Center, Malleswaram, Bangalore
Discussed the possible venues, possible speakers and logistics for the committed proposals for two events/workshops during 2019
- Proposal (1): ML and MM for Remote sensing image analysis
- Proposal (2): Author Education
Apart from these committed events, we also discussed about the possible workshops that can be organized with the help of the members of IISc, at some possible locations in Karnataka. The members from IISc are requested to update the status of this event.
Discussed the possibility for any of the members of GRSS, who can act as a resource person for any of the above mentioned events.
Also, we discussed and suggested the regular members of the society to apply for senior membership with the support of existing senior members of the society.
