IEEE YP / UMIEEE: git Workshop
Join IEEE Winnipeg Section's Young Professionals Affinity Group and UMIEEE for a git workshop where we will provide all you need to get started using git! Whether you're looking for a revision history solution for your own developments, for a team, or for the workplace, we'll teach you how to get set up and learn the basics. Topics will include:
- Setting up your first repo
- Cloning an existing repo
- Pushes, pulls, and commits
- Branching and merging
Whether you're a student, recent grad, or have been working in industry for a while, we're hoping you'll come out for a fun and informative workshop.
Registration:
Industry: $5 for IEEE members, $10 for non-members.
Students: Free for IEEE members, $5 for non-members.
This is a bring your own laptop event. Please install git on your computer and create a github account prior to attending the event. (Instructions can be found here)
