Minutes of the Eight Meeting of the Executive Committee of IEEE Vizag Bay Sub Section

Date and Time: 21^st September 2019 at 18:00 hrs

Venue: Hotel Karunya, Visakhapatnam

The following are present:

                (Dr T.S.N. Murthy and Dr P. Satheesh were granted leave of absence)

• Sri Sriram welcomed all the members and briefed the activities organized in the last few months. He has shown keen interest to identify volunteers in all districts, so that professional programmes can be organized with their help. The EC members suggested few volunteers across these districts and Chair advised to contact them for willingness (Action: Secretary)
• Sri Sriramwelcomed the decision to participate in AISYWC-2019 at Hyderabad by Dr Sameer and Sri Chisti. He further informed them to study the possibility to hold a Sub-Section Student Congress in Visakhapatnam in November first week. (Action: Sri Chisti/Dr Sameer/Sri Krishna Nag)
• CAS/EDS workshop in Vizag: Dr SLN mentioned the modalities of having this event in Vizag. Dr Sameer representing Raghu Group of Institutions, agreed to take further.
• PES Event: Sri Chisti advised to contact Dr. Rajagopal and fix a date in October/November
• WIE: It was noted that with SMC fund, Vizag Bay will organize an WIE event during December 14,15. Sri Chisti and Dr Usha Bala are nominated to take further on this.
• MTS / Antennas (Sandeep Satav / MLN) to organize an event in Vizag sub section area
• LML: It was also noted that Lalitha Memorial Lecture will be held in Vizag this year and it is decided that Prof N. Deepika Rani, Vice-Chair and Mrs. M. Vijaya, Treasurer will take further.
• Prof Deepika and Mrs. Vijaya will co-ordinate with Prof Lakshmi, WIE Chair toIdentify the eminent scientist/professor/researcher/industrialist/philanthropist and inform Sri KV Sriram/Dr SLN to take necessary approvals from the Section.
• Identify Venue, prepare invitations and organize entire event with the help of Sri Chisti.
• Dr SLN mentioned that Section Elevation petition needs 100 physical signatures and requested all the EC members to help in this process.
• Chair also mentioned to create Google sheet for District wise / College wise / Member / Contact details to be prepared, as many of the contact details are not reacheable. This will be done in parallel with 100 signatures campaign.
• Sri Chisti proposed vote of thanks to all the members for their co-operation and participation.
