Interface Startup Summit
Interface 19', one of the much awaited startup summits of the year was held on 18-20th of October 2019 as a part of Tathva, tech fest of NIT Calicut. It was was sponsored by IEEE and Technological business incubator, NIT Calicut. Interface 19 began with startup pitching, where 11 teams, which were selected from the mentorship weekend conducted as a part of Tarang, the management fest of NIT Calicut, pitched their products in front of investors. Roshan Kynadi (President, Greater Malabar Initiative), Preeti M ( Manager, Technology Bussiness Incubator, NITC), Deepak Balachandran (Head - Bussiness Development, Mubadala Group Company) were the judges for Start-up pitching event. The product, Aaojal by Vishruth and Spex by Adeep won the title prize. A startup expo was conducted on the same day where around 7 teams came with their working prototypes and presented it in front of public. Later on the day, a seminar was conducted on the topic 'From engineering to entrepreneurship' with Mr Jozef Jagan(Founder and CEO, Xwards), Ms Geethu Sivakumar(CEO at PACE) and Mr Narayanan S(Co-founder, Unschool Learning) as the panelists.
On the second day of tathva 2 talks were held on the topics Industry 4.0 and entrpreneurship and Technopreneurship for the future by speakers Mr Duleep Sahadevan and Mr Shilen Sagunan. A panel discussion on Women Pioneers by panel members Ms Linda Rakesh(Administrative Director, RCM Ayurveda wellness centre) , Ms Cindu Vijay(Cindu VTech) and Ms Reena Anilkumar(Managing Director, Areena Healthcare Solutions).
Interface'19 ended with the event elevator pitching where people come and market crazy ideas on the third day of tathva.
