The IEEE Oklahoma City Section and IEEE Region 5 was to host the 2020 IEEE Region 5 Annual Business Meeting and Student Activities Conference. That were to take place April 3-5, 2020 at the Sheraton Oklahoma City Downtown Hotel.  If you have a reservation at the hotel cancel it.

The IEEE Region 5 Committee serves and supports programs for more than 23,000 IEEE Members, and over 3,600 IEEE Student Members located within the 13 surrounding States geographic boundaries of IEEE Region 5. The IEEE Region 5 Committee is comprised of the Region 5 Officers and Program Coordinators on the IEEE Region 5 Executive Committee, the 26 IEEE Section Chairs. The IEEE Region 5 Committee supports IEEE Member Programs and Services for the IEEE Members associated with the 26 IEEE Sections. The IEEE Region 5 Committee also supports student activity programs and services to more than 90 Student Branches and Eta Kappa Nu Chapters.

The Region 5 Annual Business Meeting and Student Activities Conference begin Friday evening with a Welcome Reception networking students and professionals. There will be plenty food, and a cash bar.

The 12th Annual IEEE Green Technologies Conference will be held April 1-3, 2020 at the Downtown Sheraton Oklahoma City. The Technical Conference Chair and the Technical Program Chair are working hard to put together a great program. IEEE Region 5’s share of the generated income for the IEEE Green Technologies Conference is used to support the Student Activities and IEEE Member programs. Professional members attending both the IEEE Green Technologies Conference and the IEEE Region 5 Annual Meeting will be given a $100 credit on the IEEE Green Technologies Conference registration fees via Online Registration. Professional development hours (PDHs) will be offered on request.

The sponsors and patrons supporting the IEEE Green Technologies Conference and the IEEE Region 5 Student Activities Conference will be available to meet with students seeking future job opportunities and career path advice.
