Joern Tinnemeyer of EnerSys
EnerSys is the world’s largest industrial energy storage company. With over 30 factories worldwide, $3.5 Billion USD revenue and 11,000 employees we build systems for a large array of markets. The majority of the revenue is generated via the production of lead acid batteries. With a strong paradigm shift towards more lithium in the market, EnerSys is developing leading products based on this new chemistry. Presented will be an overview of lithium ion technology, pack development, safety topologies and the increasing necessity for a highly interdisciplinary engineering teams.
