BEC-IEEE “Orientation Program About IEEE”
This event was taken in charge by Mr.Amarnath. The students arrived slowly to the MBA Seminar Hall, venue of the event. They were made to sit in the Hall, leaving the first-row empty at the beginning and then later were asked to occupy because of congestion.
First, a small welcome speech was delivered by Samprita. Keshav presented his Presentation on “IEEE” in-depth. He mentioned the details regarding the headquarters of IEEE, the functioning of IEEE, the purpose, activities, benefits, etc.
Next, Swati and Shagufta gave a presentation on “Women in Engineering (WIE)” and other “Affinity Groups”. They focused on the information concerning the importance of women in engineering fields, the potential benefits of joining such Organisations, support and aid for higher studies, etc.
Further, Rohini delivered a presentation on “BEC-IEEE”. She mentioned about the activities conducted in Basaveshwar Engineering College by the student volunteers of IEEE. She also mentioned about the history and origins of IEEE in Basaveshwar Engineering College, the evolution of student members and the developments in their technical knowledge, etc.
Later, Shashank gave a presentation on “27$ worth spending?”. He mentioned all the benefits in detail regarding the Subscription fees of IEEE, such as IEEE Potentials, IEEE TV, Spectrum Digital Magazine, Scholarships, Discounts on Books, Events, Electronics, etc.
Next, some of the IEEE student volunteers shared their personal experiences concerning BEC-IEEE, benefits and learnings in BEC-IEEE.
Dr. Suresh Jangamshetti Sir also addressed the students concerning the new changes and further improvements which will be bought in the upcoming days. Then a small video montage of “SLP 2019” was shown to the audience.
Finally, the participation certificates of “SLP 2019” were handed out to the participants.
