The Workshop AEW11 will be held in Rotterdam, the Netherlands on July 3 - 5, 2019. The theme is “Concepts in Information Theory”.

The 11th Asia-Europe workshop on “Concepts in Information Theory” is based on a longstanding cooperation between Asian and European scientists. The first workshop was held in Eindhoven, the Netherlands in 1989. The idea of the workshop is threefold: improvement of the communication between the scientists in the different parts of the world; exchange knowledge and ideas; pay a tribute to a well respected and special scientist. In the past, we paid tributes to Jim Massey, Jack Wolf, Te Sun Han, Han Vinck, Kees Immink, Kingo Kobayashi, and Hirosuke Yamamoto. We are very proud that for this workshop Hiroyoshi Morita accepted our invitation to be our guest of honour and key lecturer. His style of presenting is extremely inspiring and always very clear. The organizers want to pay special attention to these aspects.
