International Women’s Day celebration and IEEE Inauguration
JCE IEEE and Women in Engineering (WIE) Student Branch in association with the Departmental Staff And Student Association ECHO of Electronics and Communication Engineering department of Jain college of Engineering, Belagavi, celebrated International Women’s day on March 19th 2019. On this day the new office bearers for IEEE student branch for 2017 were also inducted.
The chief guest Dr. Aarati Bhandare, Dental Surgeon and a social Activist, Belagavi, spoke on the importance of conservation of water and rain water harvesting. She said that man and women complement each other in all walks of life.
Dr. K G. Vishwanath, Principal and Director,JCE, Belagavi, gave the presidential remarks.
Head of ECE department and IEEE branch counselor Dr.Krupa R Rasane, addressed the gathering and stressed on the importance of role of women in engineering.
IEEE student chairperson Miss.Rutuja Kelkar shared her plans of events to be conducted in the current academic year 2019.
The event was compered by Miss Reema Lobo.
IEEE student treasurer Miss. Karanam Mitravinda introduced the chief guest and WIE student chairperson Miss.Tanuja Patil concluded with the vote of thanks.
The event was coordinated by WIE staff coordinator, Prof. Sushma U
Kamat, IEEE staff coordinator, Prof. Zuhi Subedar, staff and students of ECE department.
Staff and students of various departments of Jain college of Engineering participated and made the event successful
