All electronic circuits are nonlinear: this is a REAL TRUTH of Microwave Active Electronic Circuits. The linear assumption is misguiding and lead to erroneous results.  For am example, small-signal amplifiers can be considered  quasi linera or weakly nonlinear.  Signal generating and signal processing electronics such as oscillator, mixers, and frequency multipliers uses nonlinearities for the realizations.
