The above workshop has been conducted at the EEE Dept., JNTUACEA (Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Anantapur College of Engineering, Autonomous) STB 12431, as Ananthapuramu Sub-Section event. This workshop has created awareness on broad career opportunities like Reliability Engineer, Quality Control Engineers, Quality Testing Engineers etc. The participants are from the Departments of EEE, ECE, ME and PG Students of the constituent and affiliated colleges of JNTUA. This program is being organized as a twining program with Govt. College of Engineering & Technology, Bikaner, Rajasthan which is a mentee Institution under TEQIP – III with mentor Institution is JNTUACEA.

Inaugural Session: 

Prof. D. Subba Rao, Chief Guest of the function, Rector of JNTUA, has emphasized the need of the Industrial Collaborations with Reliability Engineering Professionals for Career Growth.

Prof. C. Radha Krishna, Director, Global Energy Systems Pvt. Ltd., Hyderabad, Guest of Honour, has given key note address on the importance of Reliability Engineering in Electrical Power systems.

Prof. E. Keshava Reddy, Member of IEEE Reliability Society & Vice Principal, JNTUA CEA has presided over the function.

Prof. R. Kiranmayi, Head of the Dept. of EEE, has wished the program to be a success and hoped that the deliberations will come to know the career opportunities like Reliability Engineer, Quality Control Engineers and Quality Testing Engineers etc. for Reliability Engineering Professionals with Industrial collaborations.

Prof. V. Sankar, Chair, IEEE ATPSS & IEEE Student Branch Reliability Society Branch Advisor stated about the objectives of the workshop. Later he and Prof. D. Subba Rao, Chief Guest of the function, Rector of JNTUA, has inaugurated the first IEEE Reliability Society Student Branch Chapter in India and by handovering the IEEE Reliability Society SBC certificate to K. Ravi, IEEE Student Branch Chapter Chair, JNTUA CEA.

Sri. J. Sreenivasulu, IEEE Member & Subsection Treasurer, Co-ordinator has proposed vote of thanks.

Prof. C. Radha Krishna, has given a talk on Reliability Engineering Implementation through Industry-Institute-Interaction Status and some issues seeking Engineering solutions. Also explained about Reliability issues in Electrical Power Systems.

Sri B. Mahesh Babu, Senior Project Manager, HCL, Bengaluru, has delivered lecture on “RAMS (Reliability Availability Maintainability Safety) Analysis” for industrial manufacturing equipment’s such as braking systems, valves, transformers, refrigeration and air-conditioning etc.

Sessions III: 03:30 P.M. to 05:00 P.M.

Sri K. Santhosh, Technical Lead, HCL, Bangalore, has delivered lecture on “Functional safety in Aerospace” such as Aircraft structures design, Aircraft cabin pressurization system, Aircraft pneumatics, Aircraft environmental control systems, Aircraft engine fire protection systems, Aircraft bleed leak detection systems, Aircraft oxygen systems, Medical products manufacturing equipment etc.

Prof. M. Vijaya Kumar, IEEE ATPSS, MDC Chair, Registrar i/c, JNTUA, Chief Guest of the function has emphasised the importance of Career Growth Prospects for Reliability Engineering Professionals with Industry Collaborations. He distributed the participation certificates.
