Codemania
Codemania takes the same platform of a hackathon. In this competition C++ language is used for computing. All the participants who joins Codemania should participate for 3 consecutive workshops which helps to enhance their knowledge in C++ coding and helps compete well in the final competition. Participants should participate with a team of maximum 05 members. With the registration of 49 teams the workshops were conducted as follows.
The event was held on 23rd of November from 09.00 a.m. to 04.00 p.m. There were 60 participants representing 19 teams. The teams were assigned to do a MCQ paper which was named as the theoretical paper session and to code for the given question which was categorized as the practical session. Time duration was one hour per session. The judges of the competition were Dinith Primal, Shan Rathsarana and Yasiru Naleen. By the end of the day, the awards ceremony was held. The chief guest was Dr. Chandani Dissanayaka, Senior Lecturer of Sri Lanka Technological Campus and the guest of honor was Miss Upeksha Chathurani , staff advisor of IEEE student branch of Sri Lanka Technological Campus. The special guests were Dasun Pathirage, student advisor of IEEE student club of Sri Lanka Technological Campus and Bhagya Gnarathna, president of IEEE student club of Sri Lanka Technological Campus. 24 teams with 112 participants were eligible to be awarded by the participation certificate. The fifth place of the competition went to the team Runtime terror, fourth place to Team Juliet, third place to Team Achcharu and runners up were team SSCN. The ultimate champion of the competition was Team Error 404.
