Intellihack '19 - Final Hackathon
IntelliHack 2019, the first-ever Machine Learning Hackathon in Sri Lanka which was organized by the IEEE CS Student Branch Chapter of UCSC was successfully held on 09th and 10th of November 2019 at UCSC premises. The top ten teams were selected through a thorough evaluation of proposals by Machine Learning experts in the industry. The selected teams comprising of 4 undergraduates each were given the challenge of implementing their proposed solution to a real-world problem using Machine Learning in 24 hours.
The top ten teams were evaluated by a panel of industry professionals including, Mr. Bathiya Priyadarshana, Chief Architect of Big Data and Data Science at PickMe Engineering Sri Lanka, Mr. Keshan Sodimana, Google developer expert in Machine Learning and Mr. Raveen Harith Perera, Senior Software Engineer at LSEG Technologies and also an Organizer at Google Development Group in Sri Lanka.
The event was sponsored by leading tech companies in Sri Lanka including the London Stock Exchange Group, PickMe Engineering, and Google Development Group Sri Lanka. The hackathon was participated by undergraduates representing universities island-wide and also the winners of the hackathon were given cash prizes.
