Awareness on Girl child safety
A part of educational activity ottigekaliyona - SPARK initiative program from WIE an Awareness on girl child safety was conducted at Shantiniketana School Bangalore. around 180 girl students from class 6 to 10 were given awareness on their safety by Dr. Indira Jayaprakash Retd Prof from Bangalore University and Rotorian volunteer and also Ms Jayasudha and Ms. Divyashree from Rotary Defense trained the students how protect themselves to overcome the difficulty situations by using defense techniques. It was great interactive sessions by the volunteers and also the students came up with many questions and doubts. This awareness was given in concern with girl child safety in the society so that they overcome the problematic situations. Dr. Ashwini Appaji from WIE also motivated all girl students to overcome the entire difficulty situation and share all the problems with parents and never to hide any interactions from them. she also motivated the teachers to show concern in the scchool premises in spreding the awareness about interaction of girl child with boys. They were also given awareness on good touch and bad touch. Students were given chocolates and pencils as a part of attending programme to motivate them to attend such awareness programme in future.
