Shielding Effectiveness (SE) Improvement for OSFP 400G Optical Modules

In this presentation, the OSFP Optical module cage geometry is studied to identify potential EM leakage concerns for 400G optics through simulation and Lab measurements. Once identified, enhancements were made to mitigate the leakage while maintaining thermal integrity.

Pranav Devalla of Arista Networks

Biography:

Pranav Devalla is currently working as a Hardware Design Engineer at Arista Networks responsible for "High Speed and High Power System Design and Bring up".
He has vast experience using simulations at different design stages for efficient system hardware validation with core focus on PCB SI and PI. He was previously employed as an Electromagnetics Applications Engineer at ANSYS Inc., and also holds a Masters Degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Colorado State University.
