Seminar: Data Science - Past, Present and Future

According to IBM, we daily create more than 2.5 quintillion bytes of data and more than 90% of the existing data in the world today, has beed created in last two years alone. Social media, transections records, cell phone, GPS, emails, research, medical records and much more……., the data comes from everywhere which has created a big talent gap, and the industry, across the globe, is experiencing shortage of experts who can answer and resolve the challenges associated with the data. Professionals are needed in the field of Data Science and Machine Learning who are capable of handling and presenting the insights of the data to facilitate decision making. This talk will summarize the evolution of Data Science and create a link for border audience to jump into this amazing field. We will discuss the difficulties that community have been facing in the past, and how they are resolved today which has ultimately created a big talent gap globally. The talk will conclude with solid plans for the interested personals to learn these highly demanding skills.

Dr. Junaid Qazi

Dr. Qazi’s firm belief is that Data Science skills are what will drive future markets. Why? Because all industry needs the talent to understand how to use data. Without this, we cannot move forward.
