A 6 Day Faculty Development Program on Speech and Vision Enabled Intelligent Systems
The 6-day faculty development program on Speech and Vision Enabled Intelligent Systems
will provide insight into mathematical, programming and technical aspects in developing
intelligent machines. The FDP will initially introduce the participants to the basics of linear algebra
and python programming for machine learning and go into details about various conventional
machine learning approaches for speech and vision. The lectures will then transition into neural
networks and deep learning models for speech and vision. A demonstration of various intelligent
systems by industry experts will be provided to help the participants gain a greater appreciation for
the role of machine learning. A hands-on session on few machine learning algorithms using
python will be provided. The FDP invites eminent researchers from reputed organizations such as
IISc, IITM, CMI, IIITDM, Tata Elxsi, and Trimble Inc., as well as SSNCE to enlighten and
inspire the participants to carry out research in these areas.
