TISP event in Vizag Bay area, Govt High School at Payakarao Peta, Near Tuni-IEEE Vizag Bay Sub Section

Teacher In-Service Programme was organized by IEEE Vizag Bay Sub-Section on 30th November 2019 at Government High School, Payakaraopeta, Near Tuni, Andhra Pradesh. 39 Science teaching teachers from 19 different Government High Schools of Visakhapatnam District participated this event. Sri M.G.P.L. Narayana Past Chair IEEE Hyderabad was the Chief Guest and mentioned the need of science education from early stage of career. He gave few examples of great scientists and their observations on science education. He also emphasized the need of inventions, science education in engineering stream of education.  Sri K. V. Sriram, Chair IEEE Vizag Bay Sub-Section mentioned that the teachers need to develop the curiosity in learning Science in Children.  Dr Abraham spoke on the recent scientific developments. Dr. Lakshminarayana Sadasivuni mentioned the “Research in Social Networks and how traditional science helped the modern age”. Smt. Ili Abraham, the resource person of this event spoke on “Teaching Science in Modern age”. Teaching Methodology kits, Exhibits of Science Learning & Teaching and Concepts of Science Curriculum Posters were presented to the teachers by Sri M.G.P.L. Narayana. Feedback received from the participants is in the level of 91% in the areas of Rating of the Speaker and Speaker Content. Sri Naresh Headmaster proposed vote of thanks.
