Advance Internet of Things with machine Learning (IoT ML)
IEEE Circuits and Systems society and Electron Devices Society joint Chapters of IEEE Hyderabad Section in collaboration with Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering, Raghu Institute of Technology, organized a Three day workshop on Advance IoT with Machine Learning during Dec 12-14, 2019. The recently constituted IEEE Circuits and Systems Society (CASS) Chapter of IEEE student branch at Raghu Institute of Technology hosted the event. Mr.Sai Prasanth Kanumuri, Mr. Srikar Somanchi, Mr. Harsha Vardhan Marrisetty, Ms. N V Monalisha Mohanty, Mr. Sai Ramana Ganesh Vasanthavada, Ms. Amrutha Tamarapalli, Ms.Laxmi Jahnavi Vanam, Ms. Shalini Raghupatruni are the student members of the CASS Chapter have also served as teaching assistants in the workshop for which they received appreciation certificates from IEEE Hyderabad Section. Similarly, Mr. O.Santa Ram, Ms. Manisha, Mr. Kamal, Mr. Shiva Balaji, are other IEEE student branch members who have extended their support as volunteers and made the event happening.
There were about 72 participants from various colleges of Visakhapatnam, Vizianagaram, Srikakulam, Krishna, East Godavari and west Godavari Districts. Prof. Md. Arifuddin Sohel, IEEE CAS/ED Societies joint Chapter Chair delivered lectures on Machine Learning and implementation using Python on Jupyter Notebook. Prof. VVSSS Chakravarthy, Mr. Muniruddin, Mr. Badrinath Chitti and Mr.Adithe Sarma have delivered lectures and conducted hands on practice session using Node MCU and Raspberry Pi. The participants have successfully developed various IoT based projects during the hands on sessions.
Prof. P.Satish Rama Chowdary, IEEE student counsellor, IEEE SB, Raghu Institute of Technology appreciated the performance of the teaching assistants and the volunteers of the workshop. He also mentioned to the participants that the kits used in the workshop are made available in the laboratory of the Department of ECE, RIT to all the participants of the workshop to carry out projects based on Node MCU and Raspberry Pi. The teaching assistants who were active during the workshop are available to extend their support if required.
