Brigadier General Mark Merlino, Deputy Chief of Engineers (USACE), and Assistant Adjutant General, will discuss the Massachusetts National Guard Innovation Team (MANGIT). MANGIT is a think tank group that strives to meet the Massachusetts National Guard's three priorities to fielding winning teams, investing in our people, and building enduring relationships. MANGIT implements a structured format that facilitates a dynamic environment in the form of a sustainable innovative working group. MANGIT includes citizen soldiers who evaluate and identify innovative solutions to identified opportunities that help the United States Army and US Air Force modernize, as it has since 1636.
