Summer Internship Program
Organized with the collaboration of Zanoor a social NGO, working in Pakistan with the vision of achieving the high literacy rate in Pakistan IEEE SIGHT arranged a Summer Internship. It was mainly dealt by two volunteers- Waleed Ziafat and Kainat. A two-hour evening session included many activities such as:
The students were from diverse background having different level of skills rangingfrom totally blank to aware of the basic concepts of linguistics and science. These students were taught all the basicconcepts.
All the students were explained about the science experiments using the experiment or using videos.
On the last day a model of solar system was made by the volunteers. For better understanding of the complexsystem.
A robotic car was used to explain about the types ofmotion.
A magnet was used to explain the different types of materials and the fundamental concept of magnetic field was delivered.
At the end a parent teaching meeting was organized in which the results of the examination were declared and parents seemed satisfied with the overall management. Zanoor appreciated all the effort put in and promised future collaboration with IEEE UET.
