Dixon Automatic Tool, Inc.

Designs and builds automated screwdrivers for robotic end-of-arm tooling, and stationary screwdriving applications. Automated delivery of screws, parts, fasteners, threaded and non-threaded components, using track-fed, blow-fed, & place-and-drive technology.

Applications include medical devices; electronic products;, electrical components such as wiring devices, neutral bars, electrical box build; construction products; tools such as hand tools, garden tools, professional tools; defense components; plumbing & fire protection devices, multi-part fastener assembly; automotive & truck components; and appliances.

Works with independent machine builders, machine integrators, vibratory feed system builders, and manufacturers.

Biography:

Married with six adult children.  1974 graduate of the University of Illinois Champaign, LAS, Business Management, IPS Individual Plan of Study.

Is President of both Dixon Automatic Tool, Inc. and its subsidiary Rodix, Inc.  As a third-generation grandson, along with his brothers James and Lee, manages the family-owned company.

The company was founded in 1946 by Paul H Dixon as an engineering / manufacturing research firm to refine the design of the 20mm Vulcan high-speed cannon, its ammunition link design, and 60 caliber and 37mm rapid-fire weapons.

Over the years the company has continued to support the military with special machinery.
