SCHOOL OUTREACH PROGRAMME
IEEE SCT SB
IEEE SIGHT Society SCT SB, orchestrated a school outreach program in Government Technical High School, Mancha. With the assistance of 19 volunteers, we were able to introduce students into latest electronic devices and microcontrollers and we also taught them basics of Arduino. We took classes for 8 th and 9 th standards.
We divided the 61 students of 9 th standard into 6 teams to implement peer to peer learning. For 69 students of 8 th standard , we engaged them in familiarizing Google Home, basics of Electronics, Arduino and AI and some fun activities. The whole program was conducted under the supervision of school Academical Head Manjula Ma’am. We conducted a basic bot making competition at the end and awarded two teams with trophies for securing first and second. Participants were enthusiastic about how to implement arduinos in different concepts. They expressed their excitement to meet us again in such ventures.
