Fundamentals of Memory Design for AI/ML Applications
IEEE Circuits and Systems / Solid State Circuits(CAS/SSC) Student Chapter, IIT Roorkee, organized a short course for a week on “Fundamentals of Memory Design for AI/ML Applications” in department of Electronics and Communication Engineering. Around 20 full time selective participants, including Research scholars and Post Graduated students attended this course. The interaction sessions among the invited Speaker and the participants resulted in development of ideas. In addition to the talk, there was also seminars arranged by the scholars of the VLSI Group,ECE. Which helped them to get the suggestions for their future research from the speaker. The Session was successfully completed in week from March 2nd to March 7th 2020. High Tea was arranged for entire session and ended with presentation of Memento to the Speaker.

Dr. Rajiv Joshi

Biography:
Dr. Rajiv Joshi is a Research staff Member at IBM T.J.Watson Research Center, Yorktown Heights, NewYork since 1984.He is an IEEE Fellow and received the Industrial Pioneer Award from the IEEE Circuits and Systems Society in 2013 and the IEEE Daniel E.Noble Award in 2018. He holds 225 U.S. patents. He was received B.tech from Indian Institute of Technology Bombay in 1977, M.S degree from Massachusettes Institute of Technology and Doctorate in Eng. Science from Columbia University, USA 1981 and 1983 respectively.He has authored and co-authored hundreds of technical articles in IEEE conference journalsand transactions.
