This Faculty Development Programme (FDP) intends to facilitate up-gradation of knowledge, skill and intends to provide opportunities to enrich the knowledge and to interact with cutting-edge technologies in the field Sensor Networks and Internet of Things for teachers and researchers.

The Internet of Things (IoT) has evolved from the convergence of wireless technologies, micro-electromechanical systems (MEMS) and the Internet. By connecting ‘things’ in the real world such as cars, buildings, and industrial equipment, IoT promises to revolutionize how we live and work. This FDP will focus on issues and challenges in the field of Sensor Networks and IoT. During the above mentioned six days, intensive training was imparted in different application of Sensor networks and Internet of things using with lectures and laboratory experiences. The 6 day program was well-planned and showed tremendous outcome at the end.

Agenda

The agenda of the FDP was to impart practical applications of IoT and sensor networks.

The outcomes of the program were as follows:

  1. Understand the usability of the IoTs across various real-world applications.
  2. Understand and design different application and communication protocols for IoTs/WSNs.
  3. Demonstrate and Hands-on various IoT applications.
  4. Demonstrate integration of IoTs/WSNs with cloud platform and perform data analytics.
  5. Design solutions for several applications using IoTs by integrating machine learning’
