The registration for the contest started on March 25, 2020 and was completely free of cost. As the contest was scheduled to be held on March 30, the registrations ended on March 29 at 5 p.m. Hack The Hack got a tremendous response with more than 400 students registering from 40 different colleges, coming from diverse streams and year of study.

The contest was conducted on HackerEarth platform for the duration of one-half hour with 3 questions of moderate difficulty and 1 easy question.
