IBM has more than 100 years of work on diversity, inclusion and equality in a global society. We also have male champions who empower women to bring out their talents and grow.
IEEE is the world’s largest technical professional organization dedicated to advancing technology for the benefit of humanity. IEEE Women in Engineering (WIE) Egypt Section aims to empower the Egyptian woman to establish their self-realization in the society and focus on their needs by facilitating exchange and sharing experience in different fields.

Biography:
Sabine Holl is IBM’s Vice President Technical Sales and Chief Technology Officer for IBM Middle East and Africa. She is responsible for IBM's technical community across the Middle East & Africa. For her, innovation is literally driven by inclusion, across all levels of technology, skill and experiences, from graduates just starting out, through to thought leaders, specialists, architects and advocates, who help and advise IBM’s clients to accelerate and transform their business across all industries and into the fourth, cognitive, industrial revolution.
Early in her career in the mid 90’s, Sabine started as a graduate herself. In IBM Austria’s mainframe services division she partnered with clients to building out strategies, modernizing their existing environment and moving into the internet era. Impassioned about the arising opportunities that technology brings she quickly became a subject matter expert teaching workshops around the world, publishing several books, and being a trusted advisor to large institutions across Europe. With new markets opening up in Eastern Europe, Russia and the Middle East and Africa she led by example, introducing first of a kind, brand new technologies whilst transforming and persuading minds towards the digital world. It led her to be the first woman in IBMs software division in CEMEA region to be certified as an IT Specialist.
Dina Sayed of IBM Egypt
Career Talk: Inspiring panel of female success stories
Biography:
Dina Sayed is a technical team lead at IBM Egypt – operating under Data and AI division. she joined IBM in 2005 where she has designed and implemented various solutions to leverage Arabic language support in IBM and open source products. She is certified “Master IT Specialist” by the Open Group and a member in North Africa Technical Expert Council, an affiliate to IBM academy of technology.
Dina has a Bachelor degree in Communication and Electronics Engineering from Cairo University. She earned her MSc. degree with merit in Natural Language Processing from the University of Nottingham in UK. She is also a part time PhD student in Basel University – Switzerland.
Since 2014 Dina has been working in analytics and artificial intelligence domain where she designed and developed numerous solutions for clients in MENA region. This includes leading implementation, Customer demos, requirements assessment, solutions design and development.
She led many key projects using Watson services in Gulf region, including solutions for covering sentiment analysis, demographic and behavioural analysis for Telecommunication and Government sectors, building chatbots, computer vision and many other areas under Artificial intelligence domain. Occasionally, Dina teaches Artificial Intelligence and Big Data boot camp under IBM Skills Academy program.
