The main motto for conducting this webinar was to enlighten the students regarding the interviews they face during the placements and to give them the confidence to face them.

Information about this webinar was circulated in social media and the IEEE e-notice as a google form. We had an overwhelming response to the form. The webinar was conducted on 9th May and was attended by more than eighty participants. Dr S Nagini gave the opening address and enlightened the students about Turing Hut and its importance. She spoke about the activities and contests regularly organised by Turing Hut and the opportunities and benefits it provides. After that, Mr Soheb Moin took over and talked about his journey. He told us how he faced interviews at reputed firms like Amazon &  JPMC and gave us a few tips on how to prepare for these kinds of interviews. He continues with the importance of competitive programming and how to go about preparing and winning such competitions. He also gave us a lot of resources which are sure to help us in that regard.

Agenda

Mr Soheb Moin bestowed the students with various ways to learn and develop their skill sets. Most people were elated to know about the personality test, online resources provided by IEEE for students to upgrade their knowledge.

Undoubtedly, this session was the need of the hour and Mr Soheb Moin did justice to the word ‘guide’. At the end of the day, it was an exceptional session and VNR IEEE CS SBC is elated to meet the expectation of the participants and plans to conduct more such webinars for the benefit of the students.
