2020 Doctoral Research Talk & Awards
To provide the research scholars or just passed PhD students of the Indian Institute of Information Technology, who did their research in the domain of signal processing, a platform to showcase their research. The participants will be invited to submit their PhD summary, published research papers, and present their research work in 40 minutes. On the basis of the quality of technical contribution, research output, novelty, and presentation one best thesis award shall be presented. Another honourable mention shall be presented to the runner-up participant.
Four participants were selected for the final presentation in the PhD Research Talk.
The panel of judges contained

Professor & Head
Department of Computer Engineering & Applications, GLA University.
Dr. Triloki Pant
Assistant Professor, IIIT Allahabad.
Dr. Soumendu Chakraborty,
Assistant Professor, IIIT Lucknow
The panel of judges evaluated the participants based on three criteria:
Publications: A score was evaluated based on the impact factor of each of the journals/transaction/
the conference, the papers were published by the author.
Quality of the work: Judges awarded marks based on the quality of the work done by the author.
Maximum weightage was given to this criterion.
Quality of the presentation: Judges evaluated the quality of the presentation.
Then the final one was selected for the award of The Best Thesis Award for the year 2020.
Finally, Mr Vinay Kumar, who is from IIT Gandhinagar is awarded the Best PhD Thesis award.
