To instill the taste of latest technologies in the minds of enthusiastic students, the Computer Science Engineering Branch of VNRVJIET in collaboration with CSI VNR SC and IEEE VNR CS SBC came up with these Series of Webinars.

Keeping up with pace and time are the most important things. As we talk about time, new inventions are discovered every second. New technologies are being innovated to make a better place for the upcoming generations.

Day 1

Topic: Artificial Intelligence

Date: 25th May, 2020

Time: 2.00pm to 5.00pm

This webinar was given by Dr. A Kousar Nikhath who is an assistant professor at VNR VJIET.

Artificial intelligence (AI) refers to the simulation of human intelligence in machines that are programmed to think like humans and mimic their actions. The term may also be applied to any machine that exhibits traits associated with a human mind such as learning and problem-solving.

Day 2

Topic: Machine Learning

Date: 26th May, 2020

Time: 10.30am to 1.30 pm

This webinar was given by Mrs. N V Sailaja.

Machine learning is an application of Artificial Intelligence that provides systems the ability to automatically learn and improve from experience without being explicitly programmed.

Day 3

Topic: Deep Learning

Date: 27th May, 2020

Time: 10.30am to 1.30pm

This webinar was given by Mrs. Y Bhanusree.

Deep learning is a subset of machine learning in artificial intelligence. It is mainly used for extracting relevant information from vast unstructured data which could take decades for humans to understand and process.

Day 4

Topic: Blockchain Technologies

Date: 28th May, 2020

Time: 3.00pm to 6.00pm

This webinar was given by Dr. S Nagini.

Blockchain technology is used for providing users with digital assets that are distributed instead of copied or transferred. A simple analogy for understanding blockchain technology is a Google Doc. When we create a document and share it with a group of people, the document is distributed instead of copied or transferred. This creates a decentralized distribution chain that gives everyone access to the document at the same time. No one is locked out awaiting changes from another party, while all modifications to the doc are being recorded in real-time, making changes completely transparent.

Day 5

Topic: Cloud Computing

Date: 29th May, 2020

Time: 9.00am to 12.00pm

This webinar was given by Mr. N Sandeep Chaitanya.

Cloud Computing is the use of hardware and software to deliver a service over a network (typically the Internet). With cloud computing, users can access files and use applications from any device that can access the Internet. An example of a Cloud Computing provider is Google's Gmail. Gmail users can access files and applications hosted by Google via the internet from any device.

Agenda

The sessions also proved to be useful for the speakers as they got invaluable feedbacks and suggestions in the areas of improvement.

The webinar ended up being a huge success with students from different branches participating enthusiastically. This webinar has helped the audience to learn about the new technologies and innovation during the lockdown. It was an opportunity to the mini scientists to put their imagination and knowledge into use.
