IEEE BIT CAS student Branch and IEEE BIT student branch organized online webinar on "Secure and Smart wearables for contactless Payments" on 20th June 2020. Mr Hemanth Ravidra, Lead Engineer, NXP Semiconductor delivered the talk. Speacker elaborated about secure NFC solutions for payment, transit and access usecases using wearables. During the session he explained about contactless payment using mobile phone and smart watches. 38 participants of different Engineering colleges are participated and got benefited.

Biography:
He graduated with B.E. in E&C in 2010 from Atria Institute of Technology. He worked with HCL Technology between Oct-2010 and Oct-2013 in the Engineering Research Service division, where he was part of a team that Validated and helped in Certifying Electronic Flight Instrumentation System for Helicopters and Small Planes. He quit my job in Oct-2013 to pursue MTech in VLSI Design and Embedded Systems via GATE-2013.
He has been working with NXP India Pvt Ltd since Sep-2015 in a team which is bringing NFC technology to Mobiles and Smartwatches. he is currently leading the Software V&V team which is responsible for Integrating NFC Solutions into Samsung mobile and some smartwatches which include, Fitbit, Garmin, Sony to name a few.
