Lecture on "Advanced Digital Design-2"
After the basics of Digital Logic Design by Mrs G Sahithya, a continuous session was taken by Ms JLV Ramana Kumari on the Advanced topics of DLD.
The session started off with the revision of the topics taught the previous day by Ms Sahithya, Asst. Professor of ECE, VNRVJIET.
This session was delivered by Ms. JLV Ramana Kumari where the main focus of the lecture was sequential circuits and their applications.
Different types of Flip Flops was explained along with the differences between latches and flip flops. The different applications of flip flops were explained and the conversion was done.
The design of latches using the universal gates was explained clearly.
Characteristic tables and excitation tables were explained along with their significance.
Towards the end of the session, Asynchronous/ripple counter, Synchronous binary counter and various types of registers like SISO, PIPO, PISO and SIPO were explained thoroughly.

The session was conducted on order to familiarize the students with all the necessary topics of DLD which they will be requiring further in the domain of VLSI.
With more than 40 students participating, the session proved to be an insightful one. A quiz was conducted at the end of the session to check the understanding of students in the previous topics.
