Lecture on "Classification in Machine Learning"
A lecture on "Classification in Machine Learning" was organised to benefit the students. Dr G Ramesh Chandra was the resource person for the day.
Dr G Ramesh Chandra has started the session by explaining the significance of Machine Learning Applications such as face recognition, Disease detection etc.. and concluded how Classification algorithms would help to implement such an application. He continued describing the difference between supervised learning and unsupervised learning. Then he started explaining Classification(One of the types in Supervised learning) and explained it with a practical example. Implementation of Classification algorithms(KNN, Decision Tree and SVM ) have been explained mathematically and algorithmically. Mr Tharun (One of the Organizers) showcased the demos real-time applications(such as Sentiment Analysis, Face Recognition and Disease Detection) wherein the backend classification algorithm are implemented.
