Cyber security and Ethical hacking : HANDS-ON-WORKSHOP
The workshop on CYBER SECURITY AND ETHICAL HACKING was organized under Computer Society chapter, IEEE CBIT Student Branch in collaboration with Supraja technologies, India. The event was a two day workshop and the main purpose of this event was to make students understand the evolving concepts of Cyber Security and the booming job opportunities in that field.
There were two main speakers for this session: Santosh Chaluvadi ,CEO of Supraja Technologies and the CTO of Supraja Technologies. This workshop helped the students understand,perform and secure themselves from various kinds of hacking attacks, helped them understand Email attacks and Web Application attacks and by the end of the workshop, they were able to patch them to produce a secure Web application and helped them in protecting their email accounts and social networking accounts from these attacks.
The workshop saw over 100 students covering students from 1st years to 3rdyears.The workshop not only helped the students in gaining knowledge in Cyber security but also gave some of the interested students an opportunity to intern at Supraja technologies. 15 students from the workshop were selected for internships. Most of the students had an opinion that this workshop acted like an eye opener to them on this whole new concept. They also said that it opened a new door in a new field.
