Exploring Research and Innovation Challenges of Fourth Industrial Revolution During COVID-19


During COVID-19, considering the fourth Industrial revolution, in order to prepare ourselves we need a strong interaction between industry and academia. COVID-19 has changed the way the world in all aspects of life. During this pandemic, research and innovation will require a huge technical transformation. We as electrical engineers should play the biggest role in this movement. What will be our innovation challenges then? What will be the motivation for our research? Which fields should be prioritized right now? How can we entangle our research with industries? To address the research and innovation challenges during COVID-19, the industry is facing several new challenges and academic researchers need to drive innovative research to meet the industrial demand. The “Industry-Academia Innovation Forum” jointly organized by IEEE IAS Bangladesh Chapter and IEEE Bangladesh Section, as a co-located event at International COVID Congress (ICC) 2020, will have two separate segments and, in each segment, there will be keynote talks and panel discussions by experts from industry and academia. There will be a live Question answer Session to address the theme of the forum.
