WEBINAR SESSION ON CAN YOU CATCH THE “CAT” (MBA PREPARATION )
Amidst of the Coronavirus pandemic of 2020, another webinar session on (05-July-2020) was organized by
the IEEE Students Branch ZHCET, Aligarh Muslim University on Google Meet Platform. In the session, Mr.
Monis Ahmad delivered a lecture in which he shared with participants his CAT preparation journey and
guided future CAT Aspirants about sources of preparation and pattern of CAT examination and other
management exams.
Students participated in the webinar from different institutions of India.
The duration of the webinar was 60 minutes. He started with discussing
the pattern of examination i.e. CAT examination consists of 3 sections
those are VARC, LRDI, QA. CAT exam is of 3 hours in all. Time allotted for
each section is 1 Hour.
Talking about sources for all the different sections he emphasized
particularly on books by Arun Sharma for all the sections. Considering
section wise for Verbal ability & reading comprehension (VARC) he
emphasized on reading complex texts like editorial section of The Hindu
and Aeon.co. For Logical reasoning & Data interpretation (LRDI) and
Quantitative Aptitude (QA) sections he talked about YouTube channels
Elites Grid and StudyiqEducation respectively. Finally he talked about
importance of joining the test series and encouraged students for joining
test series of AIMCATS & SIMCATS.

PREPARATION FOR CAT
Biography:
Mr. Monis Ahmad born and brought up in Kanpur has bagged several national
level scholarships. He got selected as Intern in IISc Bangalore through IAS
fellowship program in 2018 and successfully completed his B.Tech from AMU,
Aligarh in 2019 as the Gold Medalist of the department of Electrical
Engineering, he cracked CAT with 99.02 percentile and finally got enrolled in
IIM Lucknow.
