IEEE WIE Montréal is happy to welcome you to join us for a workshop on intellectual property. Join us to learn about trade secrets, copyrights, patents, industrial designs and much more!

New technologies have disrupted the manner in which traditional research activities are organized. They have given rise to the discovery of knowledge and to the production of useful objects intended for a wider dissemination than the framework of university research and teaching. As multidisciplinary teams are coming together according to the requirements of various research projects, partnerships are becoming more complex and a potential source of conflict.

In this context, it is important for everyone engaged in inventive and creative activities to understand how to identify and protect the innovations resulting from their research and how to exploit their commercial potential, while avoiding pitfalls that may arise.
