High Fidelity RF Modeling and Simulation Workshop
The inaugural " High Fidelity RF Modeling and Simulation Workshop" that was planned to be held on April 1, 2020 got
postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic. We have decided to convert the workshop to a virtual event organized on Monday, August 10, 2020.
The workshop will cover a wide range of topics related to state-of-the-art theoretical modeling of RF clutter and targets along with a real-time
experience of using high-fidelity RF modeling and simulation (M&S) tools. It is a one day event with the morning session focused on talks
given by distinguished experts from the Government and Industry on cognitive fully adaptive radar (CoFAR), modeling and simulation, etc.
The afternoon session will involve a tutorial on high-fidelity site-specific physics-based modeling and simulation tool RFView,
covering GMTI, SAR, and other examples. Also, the first fully adaptive radar (FAR) challenge dataset will be disseminated. The data set will
act as a benchmark to test any present/future algorithms/techniques related to CoFAR. At the conclusion of the workshop, all attendees will
be given free trial licenses to RFView. The attendees can recreate some of the examples that were covered during the workshop and even generate
data sets of their own by simulating a radar scenario anywhere on earth.
