Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Sai Vidya Institute of Technology, Bengaluru in association with IEEE SVIT Student Chapter conducted Webinar on the topic “Recent Developments in Nanotechnology/Nanoelectronics”. More than 350 participants are registered for the webinar and more than 170 Participants actively participated from various Industry professionals/ Faculty members/ Research scholars/ students from many reputed institutions have witnessed the webinar. The webinar is started at 10:30 AM with formal Welcome for the speaker, Dr. P Chinnamuthu by Dr. Venkatesha M, Branch Counselor-IEEE SVIT student branch, Associate Professor, Department of ECE. Followed by a brief introduction about the speaker was given by Mr. Sourabh Bhat, Student Secretary, IEEE-SVIT student branch.

Recent Developments in Nanotechnology/Nanoelectronics

Dr. P. Chinnamuthu (Member, IEEE) was born Tamil Nadu, India, in 1987. He has received the Ph.D. degree from the National Institute of Technology Agartala, Agartala, India, in 2013. He was worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow (April, 2013 to March, 2015) in Advanced Device Materials Group, Nano Electronics Materials Unit, International Center for materials Nanoarchitechtonics (WPI-MANA), National Institute for Materials Science (NIMS), Ibaraki, Japan. He is currently working as an Assistant Professor in NIT Nagaland (March 2015 to Present). His
current research interests include Fabrication of 1D Metal and Metal Oxide Semiconductor nanostructures, Combinatorial Synthesis of High-k Materials, Thin Film Growth, Nanoelectronics and Optoelectronics device fabrication.





Agenda

The agenda of the event was to bring awareness of development in nanotechnology to all the attendees. This is one of the subjects for the students of electronics and communication stream.  



The speaker Dr. P Chinnamuthu, gave an interesting talk on the recent developments in the field of Nanotechnology and Nanoelectronics. He also gave insightful thoughts on various nanomaterials, nanofabrication techniques. Also, he mentioned about the impact of nanotechnology and nanoscience on the current technological developments. All the participants have appreciated the talk and mentioned it as a very informative session.
