Benefits of Multi-Tone EMC Immunity Testing
Abstract — This presentation proposes a new method of performing Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Immunity Testing using multiple concurrent tones (Multi-tone) and describes the benefits of such testing including: reduced test time, better utilization of test equipment, compatibility with standards, and better simulation of real world threats.
Biography:
George Barth has worked at AR RF Microwave Instrumentation for 30+ years in many disciplines. As Product Engineer- Systems and now Project Manager Systems, George has been designing, building, installing, and training customers on the use of standards based EMC test systems, integrating both AR and third party products, at all levels of automation from basic to turnkey. George is an IEC recognized US Expert (EMC) and Technical Advisor to ANSI and actively participates in the development of EMC standards through the work of IEC Technical Committee 77 (EMC), Sub-Committee 77B (High Frequency Phenomenon), and Sub-Committee 77C (High Power Transient Phenome
