Black Start Studies and Operations/Outage Planning in the utility enviroment presented by Burns & McDonnell 


TECH CONFERENCE NOW ONLINE!  Orlando IEEE PES/IAS/PEL is holding our annual Technical Conference in Fall of 2020 since the world wide pandemic limited our in-person options in the Spring of 2020.  The Conference will be entirely online and a Webex link will be sent to registered attendees a few days before the meeting.   

CEUs Being Offered! For those who would like CEU's good towards your professional license we will offer 2-3 hours per night.  Please register for CEU's in the registration section and be sure you connect to the Webex with your name visible. We will be taking roll at the start and finish of the meeting for those asking for CEU credits.   

We hope everyone can join us this year for our new online format.  

If you select a multi night registration you only need to register for the first night that you will attend.

Biography:

Chenxi Lin, PhD: Senior Consultant – Power System Analysis at 1898 & Co (division of Burns & McDonnell). M.S.E.E (University of Oklahoma), Ph.D.E.E (University of Oklahoma)- 10 years of power industry experience with a focus on transmission planning and power system analysis including steady state, transient stability, and electromagnetic transient analyses. Previous positions include Lead Research and Development Engineer at Eleon Energy Inc, Austin, TX.

Akshay Shivaram AND Collin Hayward

Biography:

Collin Hayward, PMP: Utility Consulting Manager at 1898 & Co (division of Burns & McDonnell). B.S.E.E (University of Missouri) – 12 years of experience in consulting utilities through overall capital delivery plans, strategy, program management, outage coordination, system planning and operations.

Akshay Shivaram, MBA: Consultant – Power System Analysis at 1898 & Co (division of Burns & McDonnell). M.S.E.E (Arizona State University), MBA (University of Colorado) – 7 years industry experience in outage coordination, resource planning, reliability studies, operations planning and real time operations. Previous positions include senior Operations Planning Engineer at Peak Reliability, Denver, CO.
